After eight months of what seemed like interminable years, the Nigerian university students can heave a sigh of relief as the Academic Staff Union of Universities suspends its lingering strike.
Recall that ASUU embarked on an industrial action on the 14th of February, 2022. Since then, the fate of the Nigerian university student has been uncertain but now the horizon is clear.
While the union is yet to make an official announcement, an insider source tells Afrigrades that the results of NEC meeting was favourable and that the strike, in definite terms, has been called off.
Schools are expected to reopen immediately for academic activities.
